Moving during the Pandemic?

Moving is stressful on an average Tuesday. From planning to packing to loading and transporting your items, to cleaning, off loading and unpacking in the new home, there is a lot to consider. Mix in the corona-virus pandemic and you have a recipe for misinformation, uncertainty and anxiety.

We know that transmission of Covid-19 occurs most commonly through close contact with other people via respiratory droplets, however, evidence does suggest that the virus also continues to survive for days on different surfaces. Until we have more certainty and a better defense against this pandemic, cleaning and sanitizing your new home becomes a priority for every one.

Fortunately, you don’t need to spend hours showering all of your household belongings in disinfectant in order to avoid catching the virus. In fact, preventing the spread of viral infections is something that can easily be done in seconds with the right sanitation methods.

At Expert Cleaning Service we can help you create a plan to keep you and your family safe and healthy as you prepare to move into your new home. Whether you want a fast and effective disinfectant treatment, or a detailed deep clean, our teams are ready to assist you.

Fogging Service

Fogging is the answer for areas where normal cleaning and disinfecting chemicals can't reach. This treatment is nothing new in our industry, in fact, for many manufacturing plants it's an essential service that is routinely employed to adhere to health and safety protocols.

It is by far the fastest and most cost effective way to disinfect your home.

High Level Disinfecting Service

This method can be used on it's own or can be ordered along with the disinfectant fogging service. For more effective disinfecting, our teams will clean all surfaces before employing the disinfecting chemicals and they will need at least half a day to a full day (depending on the size of the home) to complete the full treatment.

As this service is coupled with cleaning, our manager has to asses the home to give a detailed report of either spring cleaning or deep cleaning, as needed.

What else can you do to avoid Corona-virus while moving?

Washing your hands frequently, conducting a deep clean of the new home and wearing a mask during the moving process are all additional ways to avoid catching a viral illness during a move. Also avoiding recycled boxes since the corona-virus can survive longer on cardboard.

Make sure to ask your moving company about any and all precautions they plan to take when moving household belongings to the new home. For instance, do the movers plan to wear gloves or masks? Is it possible for them to wear slip-on booties over their shoes? Do the movers plan to practice good hygiene (i.e. washing hands) on moving day? These are all important questions to ask before moving day arrives.

Before opening the moving boxes, wipe clean all cardboard surfaces with disinfectant wipes. Unpack immediately and discard the cardboard as soon as possible.

General Full House Clean and Disinfecting

Before you moved into your dream home, a stranger lived there...

Even a clean looking carpet or shower can harbor dangerous bacteria and fungi such as athlete's foot. Not everyone cleans to the exact same standards.

For your own peace of mind, insist on a deep clean and antibacterial spray or treatment throughout the entire house, including all bathrooms, showers and carpets.
